Surprise!

Addison and I had a lovely playdate at a restaurant down the street called "The Olive Mill." I have a serious addiction to Kalamata Olives so this place is HEAVEN! I always get the Florentine salad (spinach, pistachios, gorganzola and apple slices) and it comes with like 10 olives on the side, PLUS there is free olive tasting inside! YUM!
So, we are sitting with our mommy and baby friends, Addison is lying on her blanket eating her bitter bisquit and I notice these two white spots on her upper gums, next to her two front teeth. I say to my girlfriend "hey I think Addison is going to be getting 2 more teeth soon!" She looks at Addisons mouth and asks if I'm sure they haven't already poked through. I stick my finger in her
mouth (which she just hates by the way) and BY GOLLY she has 2 more toothers!!! My baby girl has 6 teeth!!! Just like that!

She looks absolutely adorable with them, I am going to try and sneak a picture tomorrow!!

And more things I love about you my peanut

I wanted to expand on yesterdays post on the little things I love about Addison, those things I don't notice day to day but when I sit down and think about it, they are what bring a smile to my face...
*How she goes from crying to quiet in less than a second as long as I sing "I like to EAT EAT EAT eeples and baneeeneees"
*Her soft feet. Thinking about the places they will take her is amazing
*The way she moves her toes when she is all snuggled in my arms eating her bottle
*How she manages to fit both her feet in her mouth
*Her stevie wonder impression...
*How she does her ab crunches faithfully each day :D
*Our morning time together when she snuggles in bed with me and we talk and sing and play...that is my favorite time of the day <3

Today was busy, Miss Addison was up early but only made it about an hour until she was ready for naptime. I finally had to wake her at 10 because we had places to go, people to see! Noon was our playdate with one of our favorite playgroups. We each bring over a dish to the hosts house and hang out and enjoy watching the babies play "with" eachother while us moms chat. Addison spent her time rolling and rolling around the floor, eating her mum mum crackers and showing off her brand new tooth!

1,2 buckle my shoe 3,4 shut the door

Tooth number 4 is finally here! This one has been very shy about making it's appearance but it is now in full view :) Only bad thing about all these teeth is that Addison has discovered how to grind them and it makes me nuts! I will try and snag a picture of it today but she is very selective of when she will show them off.

I'm amazed by you

A good friend of mine and I were talking tonight about how our children have the ability to put smiles on our faces during even the darkest and most hopeless of times. I was thinking of all the times that Addison makes me smile and she doesn't even have to try...
*When she wakes up at 3am to eat, I go into her room, look in the crib and she beams at me
*Her watching my every move when I get ready in the morning, like she wants to be just like me someday
*Seeing her sit up after we have worked so hard at it
*The excited look she gets on her face when I get out a jar of her food
*When she falls asleep holding her bottle
*While I'm driving and she has an entire conversation with herself in the backseat
*I pick her up and she stops crying
*Belly laughs
*The way she tries to be so gentle with the dogs
*Anytime I see her toothers :)
*How she rolls round and round across the room
*Her slobbery kisses

She is just amazing. And as of tonight, I know this girl has got moves...I caught daddy and her making a dance video!!!!

Baby Mum Mum

We just discovered that Addison loves these soft rice crackers called "baby mum mums." I've never seen a kid enjoy a food as much as she enjoys this cracker. It gets all soggy and starts falling off into her shirt and hair...I guess some of it makes it in her mouth too. It looks absolutely disgusting but she is in all her glory! Thank you Ashley and Kaelam for giving these to us!

What a little rockstar! Love the face!!!

And when she was done with her mum mum, she decided to help herself to mommy's chips...a girl after my own heart!

I'm a big girl now!

So it seems like overnight that Addison has started "talking." She has these elaborate conversations with herself and loves to talk back and forth with Daddy. Her favorite sound is "dadadadada" OF COURSE! I only carried you in my belly for 9 months! It makes daddy feel special though so I guess that's all that matters. In addition to talking, she is now sitting up unsupported for good stretches of time. We have been working really hard at this and I am SO proud of her!

Hippity Hoppity Easter Time

So Addison's first Easter was this past Sunday and she lived it UP! We met great-grandma J at the 10:30 Easter service at Shepard of the Hills church in Fountain Hills. That church is actually the one that I use to visit with my family when I was young, during our spring break vacations. I didn't even recognize it, it has changed SO much. It was quite a lively service... Addison kept craning her neck to look at the older gentlemen behind us who was putting his heart and soul into every song :) She thought he was just fascinating! Addison was blessed by the pastor while I took communion and she was happy as a clam the entire service.
We headed to the Rio Verde clubhouse for Easter brunch and the food was FABULOUS. An endless buffet of every breakfast food and desert you can imagine. Unfortunately daddy couldnt be with us as he was at school finishing up his Wildland Firefigther Training.
Below are pictures of cute Miss Addison all dolled up for church and getting in the holiday spirit :)

This day brought back such wonderful memories of family vacations to AZ when I was younger. I look forward to making traditions with Addison and hope that she will one day tell her children her wonderful memories of growing up :)

Giggly, Smiley and sitting up!

Addison isnt quite sitting up by herself yet but she loves that she has enough balance to sit and play during bathtime. Hard to believe that right before and after bathtime she was a super crabby, no fun to be around baby ;)

And top right makes 3!

Addison officially has her 3rd toothie!!! We were laying in bed this morning, playing like we usually do (gives mommy a few extra minutes to wake up) and what do I see but another tooth! It is just barely poking through but it is already super sharp...believe me, I learned the hard way! My BABY GIRL now has 3 big girl teeth, hard to believe.

Days go by

What a busy week it has been. Alex is now in his 3rd week of work at PCSO and enjoying it much more than Rural/Metro. I'm liking it too, as he leaves later and gets home earlier. We have had much more family time in the afternoons, taking walks and just spending time together. Addison really seems to enjoy spending time with both mommy and daddy...TOGETHER!

So last Friday was Addison's FIRST trip to the Phoenix zoo. It was the perfect day weather wise and we had the great company of moms and babies from our playgroup! If you ask me, the Phoenix zoo sucks in comparison to other zoos around the country but Addison didn't seem to mind. I think we saw more empty exhibits than we did animals though. And for those of you who wonder about me, my animal rights stand and zoo's, I dont have a problem with most of the exhibits as the animals are either injured or rescued and would not survive in the wild. Don't get me started on circus's though >:( ANYWAYS, Miss Addison got to take pictures with her FAVORITE animal, the Giraffe! She now has 3 very special giraffes in her home collection including:
Harold- 7 foot stuffed giraffe that often dresses up in mardi gras beads and baseball hats
Marley-Wooden giraffe sculpture from Jamaica
Noah-Tiny stuffed giraffe that rattles and fits perfectly in her hand.

Some mommies and babies from our group :)

During the weekend, I work Saturday and Sunday and if daddy is at work Addison gets to join me and play with her triplet friends. It has been a blessing to be able to bring her with me and the kids I nanny for LOVE her, so it works out well! They are so cute playing together, but I must admit they look monstrous compared to her. She will get there someday :)

Tuesday, we went out with our favorite pregnant mommy Ashley to get pedicures. Ashley is going to give birth ANY day and needed to be pampered! Addison is SO excited to have another little girl to play with soon!

Thursday Addison got all dressed up to meet EB for the very first time...the Easter Bunny that is! I will have to have Alex scan the actual picture of her sitting on his lap, she is ALL smiles! These are her fancy dress pictures though...

All fancied up and posing with her stupid ikea rat

At the mall with her 3 favorite toys...Giraffe, butterfly and rat

The past two days Addison has had some sort of a tummy bug so we are laying low and trying to get her feeling better. Think healthy thoughts!!

Splishy Splashy Bathy Time

Temper Tantrum

Well, today Addison and I went to a music class and she loved it! She was all smiles, even repeating the tones the teacher made. We did one activity with wooden sticks and she loved it. When the teacher gathered up the sticks, Addison FREAKED out, started screaming and crying. As soon as she got her stick back, she was fine. OH NO, I didn't think temper tantrums started this early! YIKES!
Yesterday Addison had her first trip to Ikea with our playgroup. They had all these adorable stuffed animals which I kept showing to her and which one does she pick to love the most? The brown rat...What a weird little girl!

Tuesday, we had lunch with her Great Grandma Johnson and shared about our Jamaica trip with her. GG gave Addison a book about thumper the bunny and a mommy and baby bunny for Miss Addison. How sweet!
