So I guess I'm a blogger now...

Hello from Sunny Arizona. Addison and I just got back from a lovely and relaxing trip to Minnesota. Although we miss waking up to family everyday, we certainly don't miss the frigid temperatures...makes it hard to justify moving back to the midwest when I walk onto our back patio at 7am and it is already 75 degrees. Yes, in February.

As I don't get to talk to friends and family nearly as much as I would like and I'm constantly repeating myself, not able to remember what story I told to who, I decided to start blogging about our life as a family of 3 now. Mostly I will write about Addison, lets face it, Alex and I really aren't that exciting. We go to bed at 9, usually eat cereal for dinner and our idea of a Saturday night out is a trip to the grocery store. Although on that note, we do have some exciting news on the job front. Alex was just hired as a dispatcher for Pinal County Sherriffs Office. Not only are the benefits amazing but he will be closer to home and have more time to spend with Addison and I...YAY!

Addison Josephine, where do I begin? She is amazing. Weighing in at 12.5 pounds and 23.75" tall, she is a little spitfire and the love of our lives. She litterally never stops smiling and has been such a trooper. 2 weeks ago we took a trip with friends up north to Show Low, AZ for a 2 day snowboarding vacation and being the little chameleon she is, she fit right in! Her and I mostly hung out in the lodge while Alex and our friends hit the slopes but she even let a friend watch her while he and I went on a run together.
Her teeth are starting to come in, I can see the swollen white lumps under her gums and I am surprised she has any fingers left with the way she chews those puppies! It is going to be really weird to see my BABY with teeth :( Regardless of that though, she is doing awesome at night, usually sleeps an 8-9 hour stretch (6pm-2 or 3) and wakes up for the day around 7. I still am an exhausted mommy but I thank her every morning for finally letting me get some semblance of a normal night of sleep.

We think of all you friends and family often and so appreciate the cards, emails and phonecalls we get in encouragement, it helps more than any of you may ever imagine.
